I received
a message
of Love,
as bright
as a star,
last night,
from the city
under siege,
Kobane.
It has
the beautiful
radiant face
of Roni Ran,
a young woman
as strong and
resolute
as all
Amazons.
For hours
after hours
she tweeted
#Airdrop2Kobane
posting
to the world
images
of fighting
sisters.
Their faces
are often
smiling,
always
proud:
there's no
shadow of fear
in their
beautiful eyes,
lit up
by the consciousness
of fulfilling
their right
to defend
their homes,
their lives
as free
women.
Testimonies
of how much
the men of ISIS
are afraid
when
they meet
face to face
Amazons
carrying guns.
Dances
around the fire
of women
and men
who sing
their ancient
songs,
conversations
with fellow soldiers.
Teenagers
wearing
long
plaits,
their guns
on their shoulders,
saying good bye
with a smile,
their hands waving:
just as if they were leaving
on a school trip.
In their eyes
you can see
a happy
sparkling
such as our
boys and girls
have never known.
Expressive looks
of young women
leaving
for the front line,
knowing they will return,
always:
death cannot scare
those who know
the Mother.
From the bottom of my heart
I wrote "thank you"
to Roni Ran
and to her
wonderful
fellow Amazons
who are
fighting
for Civilization.
I selfishly
invited her
to Venice,
as soon as Kobane
will be free:
that girl
is full of energy,
she has a lot
to teach me.
